January: Self-Love Month

It is self-love month.
When we chose our tagline, "Beautiful and Unique, Like You", we had self-love in mind. At Nashelle, we celebrate authenticity and strive to create jewelry that speaks to self-worth and happiness.
February is all about giving love to others. This month, we reflect on the self-love and self-care we find ourselves continually practicing. As you move through the complex phases of life, we hope you pause to treat yourself to some self-care or look in the mirror and know you are perfect as you are.
Self-love to me, is choosing to commit to my family, staying aware of healthy life-balances, and genuinely honoring my boundaries. When I take great care of my body, mind, and spirituality, my internal love is at it's best. Usually, when all those things are in alignment, I am pleased with my self-care and can be the best mom, boss, and friend.
- Heather
Self-love for me has always been important because if you don't take care of YOU first, you can't take care of anyone else. So, it always starts with YOU.
Taking care of my body, mind, and soul is a priority that I am always working on. It is important to remind myself and others; self-care isn't selfish. I've learned over the years to embrace my authenticity fully and to be gentler on myself by practicing kindness and patience. I protect my energy by learning to say "no". And I choose only things that make me happy, including who I surround myself with.

Self-Care Suggestions
WAKE UP EARLIER
Give yourself a few extra minutes in the morning to stretch, read, or meditate. Take small actions and set yourself up for a more peaceful day.
MAKE AN EFFORT TO LOOK GOOD
We know this is hard right now. But we promise, switching up your normal physical appearance will change your mood. (Psst, try putting on some jewelry with your WFH outfit!)
MAKE TIME FOR YOURSELF
Even if it's just a few minutes, do something that is not on your to-do list. Try to sneak away for some quiet time, flip through a magazine, or do breathing exercises.
GET MOVING
Try to get outside for a walk, run, or even check the mail! Getting up and moving for short periods helps your physical and mental health.
KEEP LOOKING FORWARD
Look forward to the little things! Set small (and big!) short term and long term goals. Having one thing to look forward to can make a difference in your week.
During Self-Love Month, and we encourage you to embrace the beautiful and unique person you are.
XO,
Jennifer & Heather
